CBCT® (Cognitively Based Compassion Training) is a mindfulness and compassion meditation training developed by Dr. Lobsang Tenzin Negi. He drew from a centuries- old Indo-Tibetan Buddhist approach called lojong, or 'thought transformation.' The fundamental premise is simple: that compassion is a skill that can be developed and expanded. Contemporary science supports this view, as do most religions and philosophical systems. CBCT® is therefore both independent from - and supportive of - any faith or belief tradition that values compassion.
